Prayer Altar
You have an opportunity to leave prayers. Your input is very welcome!
 The
most beautiful altar in the world is the altar abiding in your own heart. The
most powerful prayers in the world are the prayers offered there in your
heart-temple with sincerity and simplicity. We also invite you to offer your
prayers at Shiva Mandir’s altar. Your
prayer will be kept strictly confidential. Your prayer will be taken
to the temple altar and offered just as you communicated it. All
prayers received by 9 pm will be offered at a morning puja
(devotional ceremony) on the following day.
The temple pujas are offered to Ganesh (Remover of Obstacles), Shiva
(Transcendental Joy), Surya (Lord of
Governance) and to the Divine
Mother. You do not need to leave any contact information. The
answer to your
prayer will come to you directly from the Divine.

For the removal of all obstructions
I meditate on the all-pervading Lord who is wearing clothes of white
and who is the color of the moon. He has four arms and a calm,
serene face. Let him destroy all difficulties and give us peace |

 SUMMER
SOLSTICE.
Our Summer Solstice celebration will include the traditional Vedic
ceremonies of a Ganesh Puja and a planetary homa. Bruce Mitchell
will be our Pujari. The gathering culminates with a sumptious ice
cream sundae buffet. Please bring a fruit or flower. Please bring a
sweater or shawl. The event will be held outside as weather permits.

PURNIMA.
The Full Moon of July is celebrated as Guru Purnima, a day to
celebrate our respective spiritual lineages (our Guru Parampara) and
offer gratitude and devotion to our teachers. Katie Brogen and Sara
Mesmer are planning a very special event for us. This holiday is one
of the highlights of the year. Please plan to join us!
